SR162 AIS Receiver

SR162 AIS receiver is a high performance receive only unit that enables the reception of information from vessels that transmit AIS information at a fraction of the cost of a conventional AIS transponder. The performance of the SR162 matches that of class A AIS transponders. The installation requires only a connection to a VHF aerial and computer or multiplexer. When used with marine navigation software, all AIS equipped vessels within VHF range are displayed on the Electronic Charting System (ECS) or marine navigation software. The SR162 accepts standard NMEA 0183 AIS sentences.
