- Dual-channel parallel AIS receivers: The AIS-2-USB includes two AIS receivers operating in parallel providing true dual-channel simultaneous reception of both Class A and Class B transponder signals. This ensures that all AIS transponder broadcasts are captured in real time.
- Power and data though the single USB port: No other data or power connections or wiring need. (USB 2.0 compliant)
- Easy installation: Connect a VHF antenna to the rear socket, plug the unit into your USB socket, install the USB drivers supplied on the CD and the unit is ready to receive AIS transmissions from vessels within VHF range.
- Excellent for portable systems: Combine with a USB GPS, portable VHF Antenna, Coastal Explorer 2009 and your laptop or netbook for a compact and fully portable system. Your laptop supplies the power, so no other power connection is needed.

- Reception: Both Class A and Class B transponders, plus Aids to Navigation.
