Apple on Board?

May 13th, 2008

I’ve been a little neglectful in not talking about one of the premier marine navigation software packages for the Mac. MacENC is put together with simplicity and ease of use in mind. MacENC includes a DVD of all NOAA vector charts making it one of the best values in marine navigation for $139 USD. See more about MacENC.

Find iNavX Marine Navigation on AppStoreHQ.

Hi: I am so confused! If i go to another Boat Show and bring home another bag of promotional flyers offered by endless “Husband & Wife Co.’s” who are trying to sell me the “best” marine navigation software package for my Apple Laptop for use on board my sailboat I want you to beat me with a stick!!!!!

Help me – someone! All I want is a software that I can load onto my MacBook Air, play with at home = put in route waypoints and explore, take to my boat, and then go sailing – with the comfort that I know where I am – and where I want to go and what I should see en route!

    Can you help me?

Someone told me the way to go was with ENC Charts and associated software. Where do I go to buy this and whatever else I need to make this a reality. Currently have 250 +- charts of the NW and a Garmin 75 GPS. Would like to tray little more?!

    Thanks,

    Vernon (West Vancouver)

Vernon – Try MacENC. It has been around for years and was one of the first professional offerings to run on a Mac.
