Rose Point Navigation Systems is happy to inform you that a new version of Coastal Explorer, version 2.0, will be released soon. We will be demonstrating the new pre-release version at the 2008 Seattle Boat Show in January, and anticipate a considerable wave of interest from the boating public.

Nobeltec has released important information regarding Admiral and Visual Navigation Suite. This notice pertains to chart accuracy issues and information regarding a patch to correct the issue. Please find more information from the official JEPPESEN MARINE CUSTOMER BULLETIN.

NavSoftware has been approved to be a marine chart distributor for the Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS). We are excited to be able to offer official Canadian ENC charts for all Canadian waters. CHS ENC charts are compatible with most all marine navigation software products we offer for sale.

Both Visual Navigation Suite and Admiral 9.1 are now certified to operate with Windows Vista.

Its official. Coastal Explorer 1.1 has been certified to operate with Windows Vista. Customers with previous versions of Coastal Explorer should be sure to run the automatic update.

Word has it that Rose Point Navigation Systems has a radar solution under developement for use with Coastal Explorer. We’ll post an update when more news becomes avaialable and it will certainly be offered for sale in our store when it is released for sale.

Canadian Charts are now being sold directly by the Canadian Hydrographic Service. Both raster and vector charts are available and both formats work great in Coastal Explorer.
